The At-Bashy valley runs parallel to the Chinese border. Its villages are quiet and traditional, and in summer the side valleys are dotted with yurts.
The ruins of the medieval town of Koshoi-Korgon stand near the village of Kara-Suu, and the valley is the road to both Tash-Rabat and Kel-Suu.
